Design Notes

A Floating Composition of Light and Shadow

The pendant’s offset circular tiers form a dynamic silhouette that changes from every angle. Each projecting band adds depth and visual rhythm, giving the fixture the character of a suspended architectural installation.

When illuminated, the layered weave creates alternating bands of brightness and shadow. The generous horizontal proportions make it especially effective above large dining tables, lounge seating, reception areas, and open-plan interiors.

Material & Form

Individually Woven Tiers, Precisely Assembled

Long rattan fibers are softened and woven into separate circular bands, with each section formed to a different diameter and height. The compact horizontal weave gives the surface its tactile appearance while allowing warm light to remain visible through the fine openings.

After weaving, every tier is trimmed, refined, and arranged by hand to create the asymmetric stepped composition. The sections are then secured around the central lighting structure and finished in a light coffee tone, resulting in a pendant with subtle variations that reflect its handcrafted construction.
