Where the Raffia Tiered Disc Pendant Light Works Best

Layer upon layer of hand-woven raffia grass fans outward in concentric discs, creating a sculptural silhouette that commands attention without demanding it. Hang it above a dining table to cast warm, dappled light through the woven tiers, or suspend it in a living room corner as a statement piece that doubles as art. Its wabi-sabi imperfection — the slight irregularity of each hand-woven layer — is precisely what makes it beautiful.

LAYERED RAFFIA, SCULPTURAL LIGHT

A Pendant Composed in Natural Layers

Handwoven raffia forms a tiered silhouette of discs and tapered curves, bringing warmth, texture, and quiet architectural rhythm to the room.

Design Notes

Layered Proportions with a Light Presence

The Raffia Tiered Disc Pendant Light is defined by a balanced composition of woven discs and gently tapered forms arranged around a central light source.

Its layered silhouette creates visual depth without feeling heavy. Light passes between the open raffia strands, softly illuminating each level and casting subtle patterns onto nearby surfaces.

Available in multiple diameters, the pendant can serve as a compact accent above a bedside area or become a more expressive focal point over a dining table, living room, tea room, or café.

Material & Form

Handwoven from Natural Raffia Grass

Each shade is woven from natural raffia grass around a supporting iron frame. The strands are carefully arranged to form the pendant’s distinct horizontal discs, angled sections, and structured central profile.

Variations in fiber tone, thickness, and texture are natural characteristics of raffia. These subtle differences give every pendant an individual handcrafted appearance while complementing Wabi-Sabi, Japandi, vintage, and relaxed organic interiors.
